Haddon and Sly

I’ve been drinking americanos on week days to control the daily calorie intake. So the weekend oat flat white has become my cheat coffee that I look forward to. Spoilt by the calming, japandi style cafes in Singapore, I must say it hasn’t been as easy to find many such similar coffee shops in Dublin.
They may have the decor with the right colored walls and aesthetic, but go to a super popular cafe and it gets crowded by 9.30am and you don’t get the same peaceful weekend coffee vibe.

So I was excited when I found a lovely looking specialty coffee shop with the exact calming japandi vibe I love, in Gorey. Hoping it was far away enough to not get as crowded as my fav Hatch can get, we went on a beautiful rainy drive to Haddon & Sly.

It lived up to what I was hoping for. Every detail of the coffee shop is well thought through. Calming beige walls with large menu lettering. Lovely leather chairs. Beautiful coffee cups and bowls. Delicious coffee and food. While it was a popular coffee shop, it didn’t feel loud or cramped.
T’was the perfect start to the extra long easter holiday.
